The program aims to promote the cultivation of Sacha Inchi in accordance with quality and safety standards, provide modern agricultural training and technical support, establish stable market opportunities, and increase farmers’ incomes. Through this initiative, the Association has developed an agricultural value chain encompassing cultivation, harvesting, processing, and product distribution.

To enhance the value of agricultural products, the Suosdei Sacha Inchi Agro-Processing Enterprise was established in Ou Suosdei Village, Baray Commune, Baray District, Kampong Thom Province. The enterprise is responsible for raw material collection, cleaning, quality control, processing, packaging, storage, and product distribution. All production processes are carried out in accordance with food hygiene and safety principles to ensure product quality and full traceability of raw materials.

1. Sacha Inchi Product Safety and Quality Management Policy

The Suosdei Cambodia Association is firmly committed to producing, processing, packaging, and distributing Sacha Inchi products that are safe, of high quality, and compliant with applicable national and international laws and standards. This commitment aims to protect consumer health and strengthen customer confidence. The Association shall continuously implement and improve its Food Safety and Quality Management System based on the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other relevant international standards to ensure that all products are safe, reliable, and of consistently high quality.

2. Objectives

This policy is established to ensure food safety for consumers, guarantee that products meet defined quality specifications, prevent biological, chemical, and physical contamination, comply with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements, and enhance credibility and market competitiveness. In addition, the Association aims to promote a culture of food safety and responsibility for product quality at all levels of the organization.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all Sacha Inchi products, including Sacha Inchi fruits, seeds, roasted seeds, Sacha Inchi powder, Sacha Inchi oil, and all other processed products derived from Sacha Inchi. It covers all operational activities, including raw material receiving, cleaning, storage, processing, manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, transportation, distribution, product traceability, and product recall when necessary. The policy also applies to management, employees, volunteers, suppliers, contractors, business partners, and distributors involved in the Association’s supply chain and production activities.

4. Commitment

The Suosdei Cambodia Association is committed to implementing strict hygiene and food safety programs by identifying, assessing, controlling, and minimizing food safety risks throughout all stages of production and by applying HACCP principles to ensure consumer safety. The Association is also committed to ensuring that all products consistently meet established quality standards through comprehensive quality control measures from raw materials to finished products and through continuous quality improvement.

Furthermore, the Association shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia and meet the requirements of customers and target markets. The Association is committed to providing regular training to employees on food safety and product quality to enhance awareness and foster a strong food safety culture within the organization. In addition, the Association shall regularly monitor and evaluate its management system, establish annual food safety and quality objectives, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure continual improvement.

5. Quality and Safety Objectives

The Suosdei Cambodia Association is committed to achieving its quality and food safety objectives by maintaining customer complaints below 2 percent per year, reducing non-conforming products to less than 1 percent, and ensuring that no food safety incidents occur. The Association also aims to ensure that all employees receive relevant training and fully comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

6. Responsibilities

The Association’s management is responsible for providing adequate resources and overseeing the effective implementation of this policy. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the Food Safety Management System, conducting audits, and performing regular system evaluations.
